Fishing Around Whistler Trout For Dinner

Fishing Around Whistler Trout For Dinner.  There is nothing better than sinking your teeth into a Trout that you have caught for Dinner.  Wrapped in Tinfoil smothered in fresh produce, garlic and a side of rice or pasta.  Talking about your day of fishing with the Pemberton Fish Finder over a fine bottle of wine.  At the Pemberton Fish Finder we realize that with the purchase of your BC Freshwater Fishing License you are entitled to keep fish.  We do not oppose the idea that you keep a fish or 2 for dinner, depending on the size of your group.  Trophy fish will be released unless damaged or unfit for return.  By keeping a few fish each and every year we keep our lakes strong and balanced.  Most of our smaller lakes in the area are stocked each and every year.  Simple math, if you take less fish out than you put in each year your lake becomes over populated.  Over population causes fish size to plummet because of competition for the food source.  The reason for our stocking program is for people to be able to take fish home while keeping a healthy balance.  By keeping a healthy balance in a lake you will also see larger Fish, Which the Pemberton Fish Finder refers to as Picture worthy Fish.

Fishing Around Whistler Trout For Dinner

There are a multitude of lakes in the Whistler area that allow for quality shore fishing.  To name a few; Lost Lake, Nita Lake and Alpha Lake.  At All of these lakes listed you are allowed to retain Trout.  It is always a good idea to refer to the online fishing regulations for updates and changes to the regulations.  There are numerous lakes that retention is not allowed but you are still allowed to fish them.  To name a few; Alta lake, Green Lake and Showh Lakes.  These lakes listed are considered as trophy lakes in the Whistler area.  You are not allowed to use bait at these lakes and the use of single barbless hooks are mandatory.  These lakes are also closed to fishing December 1st – March 31st.  This closure is put in place to protect these lakes during the iced over months.
At the Pemberton Fish Finder we realize that not everyone needs the use of a Fishing Guide.  This is why we have put our rental program in place.  Rent a Spinning rod or Fly rod, purchase a few hooks or flies and off you go to enjoy the day fishing.  We will not rent fishing equipment out if you do not present a valid Fishing License.  Freshwater Fishing licenses are available to you online at the bottom of our home page.  Visit our fishing equipment rental page for more information and a list of our fishing equipment.

BC Freshwater Fishing Reports Anderson Lake

BC Freshwater Fishing Reports Anderson Lake.  The Salmon fry have been entering Anderson Lake via Gates creek for the last 3 weeks.  The Trout are feeding heavily on Minnow and Fry Patterns on the fly.  On gear small spoons, shads and my Favorite the Fraser River Rainbow are smoking them.  With this warm and Sunny weather you can expect a flying ant hatch any day, this usually only lasts for a few days so take full advantage.  All of the creeks that enter Anderson Lake are starting to gain mass bringing down with it lots of extra food for the fish to feed on making for some Great creek mouth fishing.  Water temperature is 46°f – 8°c and is usually 3°f warmer at the Seton Portage end of the lake.  Most of the Trout we have been hooking while trolling have been between 45′-70′ of water.   The surface fishing has also been very good .  Use a slower troll with the lower water temperatures.  Try and keep your boat between 1.9mph – 2.5mph.  Visit our YouTube Channel for videos of fishing on Anderson Lake.
Using these BC Freshwater Fishing Reports for Anderson Lake should help you catch Beautiful Trophy Trout like the ones Below.  Book a Guided Fishing Tour With the Pemberton Fish Finder today and this can be you holding Picture Worthy Fish.

Free 18 Holes of Golf with Every Fishing Tour Month Of May

The Meadows at Pemberton is a unique golf experience amongst British Columbia’s most spectacular golf course settings. Located at the foot of majestic Mt. Currie, our 18 hole, par 72 golf course offers excellent bent grass greens with distinctly different layouts for both the front and back nine holes.
The front nine – referred to as ‘the meadows’ from which we named the course – is a challenging wide-open game with two par 3s and our signature eighth hole island green. In contrast, our forested back nine – the birthplace of our rare and legendary black squirrel sightings – is a tighter, more challenging game that has, on most occasion, surprised even the most seasoned golfer.
Tight Lines!

Exclusive Guiding Rights Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park

Exclusive Guiding Rights Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park

We are proud to announce that the Pemberton Fish Finder Has Exclusive Guiding Rights Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park.  It has been a very lengthy process.  Taking us nearly 2 years to seal the deal.  We would like to thank the Provincial Government for making Birkenhead Lake available to our company.  Now we can assist in helping people enjoy there stay.   While providing a safe, rewarding and educational fishing adventure in one of our Beautiful Parks here in the Pemberton, Whistler area.

Birkenhead Lake is one of the most scenic, well kept Campgrounds in British Columbia, Canada

Birkenhead lake has been and continues to be one of the Elite Fishing lakes in British Columbia, Canada.  There are ample opportunities of catching Bull Trout over 10lbs and Rainbow Trout over 5lbs.  No one knows Birkenhead Lake better than the Pemberton Fish Finder.  Be assured that you will have an incredible fishing experience with your friends and family.  Personally I “Brad Knowles” have fished, camped and visited Birkenhead Lake since I was a child and some of my fondest childhood memories come from this lake.  I would love to share my local Knowledge of this Beautiful Lake with you.  Make it a trip, stay a night at the Provincial Campground and in the morning we will pick you up at the dock in one of our 2 powered boats.  If you would like to keep enough fish for dinner while staying at the lake we can help.  If you would simply like to catch, photograph and release we can help.  You do not need to be staying at Birkenhead Provincial Park for us to assist you.  We can provide transportation to and from your destination anywhere between Whistler and Pemberton, BC.  The season to visit Birkenhead Lake is short because the park is only open from May to snowfall.  Snowfall visits this lake usually by November so don’t waste time to book a freshwater fishing tour of a lifetime.
Below are a few pictures of Birkenhead Lake and the Huge Trout it contains.  These pictures were taken while on our first Guided Fishing tour of Birkenhead Lake April 25th 2013.  The Gate to the Park opened the day before.  Lets just say we were excited to get in there!  For more information about Birkenhead lake or to hire a guide visit our website http://pembertonfishfinder.com  or give us a call toll free 877-905-8121.
