Birkenhead Lake > Pemberton, BC Fishing Reports
Birkenhead Lake has been fishing very well, with lots of surface activity. Larger than normal Rainbow Trout have been feeding very aggressively in and around the 2 major tributaries that feed the lake " Sockeye Creek and Phelix Creek". The Kokanee have pretty well finished up spawning, but there are still a few Bulls cleaning up there mess.
This time of year fly fishing can be very fun at the mouths of these two creeks for large Rainbow Trout and Huge Bull Trout. Try using large Purple Zonkers, Lillooet Killers, Flesh Flies, egg patterns and on the Surface a Stone Fly, Tri-winged sedge, Elk hair caddis, white Wulff, blue dunn. These flies should bring results. Remember to share your photos and videos of fish caught in local lakes with the Pemberton Fish Finder. Send them too pembertonfishfinder@gmail.com
Thanks for the Photo Swizz!
